JEB Group Transforms Hong Kong International Airport’s Terminal 1 with Vitra’s Meda Gate Seating System
JEB Group is proud to have contributed to the transformation of Hong Kong International Airport’s Terminal 1 during the Covid pandemic. As one of the busiest airports in the world, HKIA is a crucial transit hub for Asia, serving millions of passengers each year. The main terminal, which opened in 1998 and has been in continuous operation ever since, was in urgent need of refurbishment and modernisation.
In addition to the standard Vitra waiting systems, JEB Group also customised products to ensure that the waiting areas were optimised for their specific usage requirements, ensuring the smooth flow of passengers through the terminal. The revitalisation of the waiting area was not just about improving the aesthetics of the space, but also about enhancing the overall passenger experience.
As experts in furniture, JEB Group was responsible for furnishing the waiting areas of Terminal 1 with over 11,000 Vitra’s Meda Gate seat units. The Meda Gate system is renowned for its durability, quality and good design making it the ideal choice for a busy airport.
