JEB Group Shares Circular Economy Frameworks at CoreNet Global Malaysia’s Sustainability Forum

JEB Group Shares Circular Economy Frameworks at CoreNet Global Malaysia’s Sustainability Forum

02 Jun 2025

[HONG KONG, 2 June 2025] — At the “Innovating for Impact” event, JEB Group highlighted its proprietary 4R Process, demonstrating how corporate real estate can pivot from linear waste to measurable resource efficiency.

Grounded in the firm belief that true sustainability begins with direct action, JEB Group was honored to participate in the recent CoreNet Global Malaysia Chapter event, titled “Innovating for Impact: Sustainable Success Stories.” As the corporate real estate sector increasingly prioritizes ESG compliance, the forum served as an essential platform for regional leaders to discuss actionable strategies for lowering carbon footprints.

Representing JEB Group and our specialized Sustainable Office Solutions (SOS) division, Jacqui Chan, our Business Development Manager for Sustainability & ESG, took part in an inspiring sharing session. Jacqui discussed how fundamentally rethinking commercial office fit-outs and decommissions can dramatically reduce environmental waste, extend asset lifecycles, and deliver tangible commercial value across the built environment.

Making the Circular Economy an Operational Reality

From the initial planning stages of a workplace design to the complex decommissioning of legacy offices, JEB’s SOS division was intentionally created to challenge traditional, linear real estate norms. We actively bridge the gap between sustainability theory and on-the-ground execution.

At the absolute core of our methodology is the proprietary SOS 4R Process, a structured framework designed to maximize resource efficiency while driving down Scope 3 emissions for our clients:

  • Reuse: Identifying and preserving high-quality architectural components and furniture assets within the client’s active real estate portfolio.
  • Redistribution & Donation: Directing unneeded corporate assets to community organizations, schools, and non-profits, ensuring social equity alongside waste diversion.
  • Repurpose & Upcycle: Engineering creative design interventions to transform raw asset waste into premium, functional workspace elements.
  • Recycle: Committing any remaining, non-reusable materials to verified, responsible recycling streams as a strict last resort, leaving zero room for landfill waste.

By integrating these metrics-driven practices into commercial fit-out and relocation projects, JEB Group empowers multinational corporations to minimize their physical footprint while optimizing economic value.

Collaborating for Generations to Come

An industry-wide shift toward net-zero carbon requires collective dedication. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the CoreNet Global Malaysia Chapter for organizing such a vital event and bringing together a forward-thinking community of real estate professionals.

JEB Group and SOS remain incredibly excited to continue this regional journey—collaborating closely with like-minded developers, architects, and corporate leaders to innovate, inspire, and deliver sustainable workplace solutions that make a measurable difference today and for future generations.
