JEB Group Unveils Renovated Hong Kong Showroom, Hosts CoreNet Global ‘The Great Debate’ on the Future of Work

14 May 2026

[HONG KONG, 14 May 2026] — JEB Group officially opened the doors to its newly renovated 9th-floor showroom in Hong Kong by hosting the CoreNet Global Hong Kong Chapter’s highly anticipated industry forum, “The Great Debate.” The evening brought together prominent leaders from the corporate real estate, design, and business communities to discuss one of the most pressing topics in modern workplace strategy: the viability of a four-day work week.

The event marked a dual celebration for JEB Group, combining high-level industry discourse with the debut of its revitalised architectural gallery. Attendees explored the upgraded space while engaging in a lively, forward-thinking discussion that ultimately ended in a tie, reflecting the complex regional perspectives on workplace evolution.

Debating the Next Evolution of the Workplace

The debate centered on whether traditional workplace models remain effective in a rapidly changing corporate landscape. Panelists and attendees tackled the subject through three primary lenses:

  • A Historical Shift: Debaters drew parallels to Henry Ford’s historic introduction of the five-day work week, questioning whether global markets are on the precipice of the next major structural shift in labor.
  • The AI and Technology Catalyst: The discussion explored how emerging artificial intelligence (AI) and automation tools could bridge the productivity gap, potentially unlocking the efficiency required to sustain a four-day model.
  • Culture Versus Output: Participants analyzed Hong Kong’s fast-paced corporate environment, weighing the challenges of shifting organizational mindsets from desk time (hours logged) to true performance metrics (project outcomes).

JEB Group CEO Rob Wall took the stage as one of the debaters, defending corporate agility and representing the company’s commitment to progressive workplace solutions. The panel was moderated by Anthony Liu and featured an elite lineup of regional industry experts, including Ray Yuen (Gensler), Tiffany Lau (APART Companies), Steven Tremeer (Horizon Technology Recruitment), Truddy Cheung (JLL), and Mike Kavanagh (S&techs).

A New Chapter for Workplace Design

The event served as an ideal showcase for JEB Group’s commitment to workplace innovation. The newly designed 9th-floor environment is engineered to foster collaboration, community engagement, and cutting-edge acoustic performance.

“We were thrilled to welcome the CoreNet Global community to experience our fresh perspective on office design,” said Rob Wall, CEO of JEB Group. “Hosting ‘The Great Debate’ was the perfect alignment of our values, challenging standard corporate norms while providing the physical environments that make future work models possible.”

Corporate real estate professionals, designers, and occupiers are invited to tour both the newly renovated 9th-floor space and the adjacent 4th-floor showroom to experience JEB Group’s latest partitions, custom solutions, and sustainable furniture collections.
