Is there a cost for receiving furniture donations, and who covers delivery, cleaning, and maintenance?

While the furniture itself is free, recipients may need to cover logistics costs such as transportation and installation. However, SOS arranges the donation at no cost to beneficiaries, including cleaning and delivery. Post-delivery, maintenance and upkeep are the recipient’s responsibility. To ensure an auditable process, beneficiaries must sign a Transfer of Ownership Form, provide delivery space, and submit testimonials, photos, and feedback.
